Comprehensive Campus Plan (2003)
- Provides guidelines for the orderly physical growth of the University
Planning Area (as amended). This long-range development plan (LRDP)
is comprehensive in nature, addressing a wide range of campus physical
development factors and concerns. It examines campus development at
a conceptual full "build-out" of the planning area in order
to provide the necessary context for current planning activities.
It is intended to provide guidance for the coherent development of
the campus, and flexibility in its interpretation will be required
due to ongoing changes and evolving needs of the University campus.
Comprehensive Campus Plan (1988)
- Previous comprehensive plan in effect from 1988 to 2003.
-
Arizona Health Sciences Center Area Plan
(1990)
- While consistent with the general provisions and guidelines of
the University's Comprehensive Campus Plan, the AHSC Area Plan is
based on a unified and distinct Health Sciences campus separate from
the larger campus to the south, but physically connected via Cherry
Street and a pedestrian/bicycle corridor along Warren Avenue. All
Health Sciences campus functions are interrelated, and organized into
four primary development zones:
- Inpatient Services;
- Outpatient Services;
- Academic;
- Special Program and Center Development.
Campus Agriculture Center (1992)
- This document is an update of the 1982 plan, and is intended to
guide the development of the 185-acre Campus Agriculture Center on
north Campbell Avenue into the next century. The plan maintains and
develops the Center as a convenient satellite location to the main
University campus, retains a strong research emphasis, revitalizes
the teaching function, and is compatible with the City's Northside
Area Plan.
-
University Village Area Plan (1992)
-
A campus sub-area or district plan, it amends this portion of the
University's general, long-range Comprehensive Campus Plan. It provides
additional detail and clarity in identifying interim and long-range
development directions for a 47-acre central area of campus between
Speedway and Second Streets, and Mountain and Campbell Avenues.
The plan proposes an infill development strategy to accommodate
future small-group student housing and University academic needs.
For information on the development process and design guidelines,
see the University
Village Design Guidelines.
-
South Campus Area Plan (1996):
- A campus sub-area or district plan, it amends this portion of the
University's general, long-range development plan. It provides additional
detail and clarity for University long-term development of the area
of campus south of Sixth Street. West of Mountain Avenue, the plan
proposes that the area along Sixth Street be retained as a long-term
academic/research reserve zone. East of Highland Avenue, the plan
reserves area for expansion of the Student Recreation Center, sites
for parking structure and an ICA venue, and development of intramural
field space.
