APPENDIX B
ARIZONA BOARD OF REGENTS ADOPTION RESOLUTION OF THE
COMPREHENSIVE CAMPUS PLAN DATED MARCH 25, 1988
RECOMMENDATION/RESOLUTION:
- Resolved: That the Board adopt the University of Arizona's
Comprehensive Campus Plan dated March 25, 1988, as a general
guide for the future physical development of the University Planning
Area noting the following special considerations:
- Notification of proposed changes to the Comprehensive Plan
is an essential element of the plan and is provided for in Section 5.1(6);
- The University recognizes that its residential neighbors
are an important asset to the University and agrees to maintain
property to a standard that will not detract from the overall
appearance of the neighborhood as provided in Section
4.3b(1), or not conduct business in the neighborhood area
during inconvenient times as provided in Section
4.3b(2) and Appendix A, III.C.
- The University acknowledges the potentially adverse impacts
of development and shall consider when undertaking development
mitigating measures as provided in Section
3.6 (air quality), 3.1 (traffic),3.1 (parking), 4.1
(height limitation), 4.2(5)
(crime prevention), 4.2(7) water
usage, 5.1(9) (historic preservation,
4.3b(3) light and noise pollution),
4.3b(5) (visual quality), and
such other adverse impacts, if any, not specifically addressed
in the plan.
- The Board expects the University to maintain a property acquisition
policy as provided in Section 5.3a
and Appendix A attached to the
plan which is administered fairly and equitably and in accordance
with the statutes of the State of Arizona.
