Water Planning
Surface water issues are addressed in several ways on campus. The Surface Water Working Group is a group of staff, faculty, and students from across campus who work to address a broad range of surface water issues. Many surface water-related projects have been completed on campus which achieve multiple, integrated objectives, such as stormwater mitigation, water harvesting, urban open space, neighborhood buffering, and water sustainability.

Further, the UA is a leader in water-related research, outreach, and education.
Following are reports related to water planning on campus. If a link is not provided below, please contact our office for additional information.
Surface Water Master Implementation Plan
This plan addresses stormwater flow and water catchment for the entire campus. Stormwater modeling was conducted to identify flow characteristics and flood risks. The Plan proposes a series of mitigation structures designed to slow, store, and infiltrate stormwaters as a resource for campus.

Stormwater Management Plan
This plan addresses water quality and pollution. The Plan is administered by the Department of Risk Management and Safety.
